Treveloni caps strong season by earning All-NESCAC baseball honor

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby College senior Matt Treveloni (Ashland, Mass.), one of the top hitters in the league, was named to the New England Small College Athletic Conference Baseball All-Conference Second Team on Wednesday.

Treveloni ranks third in the NESCAC in batting average (.376), tied for third in triples (3), and is seventh in slugging percentage (.523).

A center fielder for the Mules, Treveloni was one of 15 NESCAC players to not make an error and post a 1.000 fielding percentage. He was eighth among those players in total chances with 47.

Treveloni, finally playing healthy for the first time, had 80 hits in his final two seasons with the Mules after missing his first-year season with an injury. He saw limited action while coming back from the injury as a sophomore and finished his career with 89 hits.
