Kevin Waters, an assistant coach with broad experience at four institutions, is the new running backs coach for the Colby College football team.
Waters most recently was the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator for Allegheny College. A native of Norristown, Pa., Waters spent two seasons with the Gators.
"We are very happy to have Kevin on staff and I'm confident he will do a terrific job leading our running backs," Colby head coach Jonathan Michaeles said. "With his coaching experience on the Division III level, Kevin will be a great asset to our program."
Waters led the linebackers for two years at Juniata College, helping the Eagles to 12 wins and overseeing the scout team. He was also co-director of the Juniata Football Prospect Camp, Juniata Youth Camp, and Big Man 7-on-7 Camp.
At Bethany College in West Virginia, where he earned his master’s degree in teaching, Waters was outside linebackers coach and also served as defensive line graduate assistant.
Waters' first coaching job was as assistant offensive line coach for Delaware Valley College in 2009. He helped the Aggies go 10-2 and advance to the second round of the NCAA playoffs.
During his collegiate playing days, Waters was a 2007 All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MEAC) selection at offensive line for Division I LaSalle University. He graduated with honors with a double major in marketing and management.
