Golf team has first home match with Colby Classic

OAKLAND, Maine -- Elliot Snow (pictured) and Sam Funderburg combined for a 74 for the Colby College golf team at the Colby Classic on Sunday at the Waterville Country Club.
 
The tourney has three pairs of golfers for each team. Holes one to six are scramble format, holes seven to 12 are best ball, and the final six holes are alternate shot. 
 
Jack Griffith and Michael Broucek teamed up for a 75 for the Mules.
 
Julien Lewin and Andrew Garcia-Bou combined for a 71 to help Bates, while Ryan Chasse and Zach Gagne of Thomas College earned medalist honors with a 70. 
 
Bates had a total team score of 217 to win the five-team tourney.
