Men's basketball falls to Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Patrick Stewart finished with a team-high 17 points for the Colby College men's basketball team in a 70-60 setback at Connecticut College on Friday.

The Mules (10-13 overall, 1-8 NESCAC) will close out the season Saturday at Wesleyan University at 3 p.m.
 

Stewart was 4-for-7 from 3-point range, had five rebounds, and no turnovers in 33 minutes of action. Sean Gilmore added 14 points and six rebounds, while Sam Jefferson (pictured) finished with 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Maximilian Steiner scored nine points, while Ethan Schlager had a game-high four assists.

Tyler Rowe paced the Camels (13-9, 3-6 NESCAC) with 23 points, four steals, and two assists. Daniel Janel added 13 points and 13 rebounds.
 

Conn College had a 45-34 rebounding advantage and held the Mules to 33.9 percent shooting. The Camels took a 33-25 halftime lead.
