WATERVILLE, Maine -- Despite 14 points from point guard Tyler Williams, the Colby College men's basketball team fell 74-63 to Hamilton College on Saturday.
Hamilton moved to 15-6 overall and 4-4 in the conference, while the Mules fell to 10-11 and 1-7 in the league.
The Continentals shot 56.5 percent (26-for-46) from the field and 63.6 percent (7-of-11) from long range. Hamilton's perimeter defense was strong all game, holding the Mules to 25 percent (6-for-24) shooting from 3-point range.
Michael Grassey made both of his 3-point shots on the way to 5-for-6 shooting for 12 points and two assists. Jack Dwyer was 3-for-5 from the field on the way to 12 points, five rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Kena Gilmour had 11 points off the bench, Andrew Groll added seven points and eight boards, and Joe Pucci also had eight rebounds.
