Men's soccer team to have six night games in 2016

WATERVILLE, Maine — The Colby College men's soccer team plays six of 15 regular season games at night during the 2016 season.

The Mules, under third-year head coach Ewan Seabrook, play three home night games and three road games. Colby plays non-league opponents St. Joseph's College, Maine Maritime Academy, and University of New England in evening home games. The Mules also have a league road game at Bates College in the evening and non-league night games at Thomas College and Husson University.

Colby opens the season against St. Joseph's on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 7:45 p.m. on Seaverns Field at Harold Alfond Stadium. The Mules entertain Tufts University on Saturday, Sept. 10, before playing five straight road games.

Colby begins October with the start of five straight home games. The Mules play two of the final three regular season games on the road, but avoid the long road trip to Hamilton College by hosting the Continentals on Saturday, Oct. 22.

The Mules will have two games over Colby's Family Homecoming Weekend. The team entertains Wesleyan University on Saturday, Oct. 8, and then plays host to rival Bowdoin College on Sunday, Oct. 9.

Colby has either won or tied for the Colby-Bates-Bowdoin (CBB) title over the past two years.
