WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby College forward Jeff Rosenberg (Bethesda, Md.), one of the fastest players with the ball in the league, was named to the New England Small College Athletic Conference Men's Soccer All-Conference Second Team on Thursday.
Rosenberg finished the season with two goals and one assist for five points. The junior has six goals and three assists for 15 career points.
Rosenberg was at his best in Colby's thrilling 2-1 overtime win over then ninth-ranked Amherst College. He had a goal and an assist to help the Mules beat the Mammoths for the first time since 1997. Rosenberg used his speed on the first goal of the game, blowing past a defender and scoring from 14 yards out. His hustle and quick dribble past an Amherst defender set up the overtime goal by teammate Jansen Aoyama.
Rosenberg earned the NESCAC Player of the Week honor after the Amherst victory.
