Men's squash defeats Wesleyan behind wins from Kwass, McBrian

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Benjamin Kwass fought back from two sets down at the number one position for the Colby College men's squash team in an 8-1 victory over Wesleyan University on Saturday.

The 22nd-ranked Mules had six of their eight wins by 3-0 scores over No. 25 Wesleyan.
 
Kwass (pictured) lost tight 12-10 and 11-8 sets to fall behind, but won the last three sets by scores of 11-9, 11-8, 11-7.
 
Will McBrian won at the second position by a 3-0 score, including a 13-11 victory in the third set. Alex Kurtin won at four and Chase Holding took the fifth position match in 3-0 scores. 
 
Jason Brodo split the first two sets for the Mules at the sixth position and then won 11-6, 11-9 to close out the match.  Andrew Swapp, Charlie Beauregard, and Matt Epstein all had 3-0 wins for the Mules.
