Men's squash defeats Amherst, finishes 23rd in country

HARTFORD, Conn. -- The Colby College men's squash team came into the College National Team Championships ranked 23rd and left with the same ranking after a 6-3 win over 24th-ranked Amherst College in the Summers Cup on Sunday.

The Summers Cup (C Division) is made up of teams ranked 17 to 24 in the country.
 
Benjamin Kwass won the second position with a 3-0 victory to earn the lone win of the top four positions. The Mules won matches five to nine to earn the victory.
 
Alex Kurtin, Chase Holding, Jason Brodo, Andrew Swapp, and Matt Epstein won matches for the Mules. Epstein, who plays the ninth position, had a 16-5 overall record.
