BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Travis Losert finished first in 3-meter diving and took second on the 1-meter board for the Colby College men's swimming and diving team in the Maine State Championships on Friday and Saturday at Bowdoin College.
The Mules finished third out of four teams, beating University of Maine by 128 points. Colby scored about 300 points more than last year's total.
Losert had 214.90 points to win the 3-meter board by just over two points. He also had a score of 226.05 on the 1-meter board.
Xander Greiersbach placed second in both the 200 backstroke and 50 backstroke. Ryan Bedell also scored points with a third in the 1,650 freestyle, fourth in the 500 freestyle, fifth in the 400 individual medley, fifth in the 200 IM, and fifth in the 200 breaststroke.
Noah Schimanski took fourth in the 100 backstroke, sixth in the 50 butterfly, and eighth in the 100 butterfly. Kyle Wong took a sixth in the 100 freestyle and had the same finish in the 50 breaststroke.
