Men's tennis cruises to victory in spring season opener

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Scott Altmeyer won at first singles and Sumukh Pathi took a win at the second spot for the Colby College men's tennis team in a 9-0 win over Franklin Pierce University in the spring season opener Saturday.

Garrett Reiter (pictured), Jonathan Hallal, Shaw Speer, and Luis Gonzalez also won for the 33rd-ranked Mules.

Altmeyer and Pathi teamed for an 8-4 win at first doubles. Jeremy Mendoza won at second doubles with Gonzalez, while Speer and Reiter were winners at three.
