Bailin podiums in 400 M hurdles at interdivisional New England Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Colby Track and Field team traveled to Southern Connecticut State University for the interdivisional New England Championships this past weekend. The team primarily faced division I competition, with Southern Connecticut St. taking the overall win over University of Rhode Island, UMass Amherst, University of Vermont, and Dartmouth on the men's side.

The top finish for the Mules came in the 400 M hurdles. Sage Bailin placed third in qualifying to move into the final top eight. In the finals, he placed third in a time of 53.44 behind runners from Rhode Island and Dartmouth.

Tanner Burton placed 12th in the 110m hurdles in a time of 15.08. The time is Burton's second fastest of his career.

Benjamin Smith also ran for Colby, placing 30th in the 200 with a time of 22.28.

 

The Track and Field team next competes at the Williams and MIT last chance qualifiers before NCAA Championships (5/23 -5/25). Those meets are next week on 5/16 and 5/17, respectively.
