Amy competed in Nordic skiing, cross country, and track and field at Ely Memorial High School. She earned the Minnesota AAA Award for a student who excels in academics, the arts, and athletics. Bianco also earned all-state honors for finishing in the top 25 at the Minnesota state meet. She has given her time as a volunteer ski coach. Amy was a research intern at Maine Medical Center


Amy is majoring in Government. She is a Colby Cares About Kids mentor, a COOT leader, and a member of the Athletic Advisory Committee and SAAC.

2017 season highlights: Bianco, a co-captain, earned the prestigious Patty Valavanis Award at the Colby Senior Athletic Awards Ceremony. She earned All-East Second Team honors and raced at the NCAA meet. She was 19th at the national meet in the 15K mass start and 29th in the 5K race. Amy finished the regular season with four top-10 finishes, including a sixth-place finish at the Eastern Cup event in Waterville in both the 10K and the 15k freestyle. She finished third in the 15K at the Eastern Championships.

2016 season highlights: Bianco was a captain for a second straight year and had a strong season for the Mules, finishing 16th in the 15K race at the NCAA Division I Skiing Championships. Amy, who earned Maine All-State First Team honors, also placed 12th in the 5K race and 17th in the 15K event at the Eastern Championships. She opened the season finishing 11th in the 5K at the Bates Carnival. She finished 12th in the same event at the Vermont Carnival, and then took 10th in the 15K at the Dartmouth Carnival and sixth at the Williams Carnival. 

2015 season highlights: Bianco, who was a captain, had a solid sophomore season with the Mules, finishing the year with four top-20 finishes. She finished 16th at the Bates 15K, ninth at the St. Michael's 5K, 13th at the Middlebury 10K, and 19th at the University of Vermont 10K. At the Eastern Championships, Amy finished 35th in the 5K event and 28th in the 15K event.

2014 season highlights: Amy had a terrific first year, earning a trip to the NCAA Division I Skiing Championships. She finished 34th in the 15-kilometer free skate mass start and was 36th in the 5K classic at the national meet. Bianco had two top-10 finishes at the Eastern Championships at Rikert Touring Center, placing fifth in the 5K classic and 10th in the 15K free skate mass start. Bianco placed in the top 20 of nine of the 11 individual races during the EISA season. At Waterville's Quarry Road Recreation Center, Bianco helped the Mules finish third in the 5K classic by taking seventh in the Colby Carnival. She had a 10th at Vermont and had two 13th-place finishes at the Dartmouth event.
