Women's basketball falls in league game to Hamilton

CLINTON, N.Y. -- The Colby College women's basketball team led 30-24 at halftime, but Hamilton College used a big free throw advantage and a good third quarter to pull away for a 60-53 win in NESCAC play Saturday.

Haley Driscoll had 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists for the Mules (10-11, 2-6 NESCAC). MK Caverly added 11 points and four assists, while Ainsley Burns (pictured) scored 10 and pulled down six boards. Katie McCrum had nine points and five rebounds, and Emily Davis scored eight points.
 

Lauren Getman had game-highs of 19 points and 10 rebounds for Hamilton (10-10, 3-5 NESCAC). Halie Serbent added 12 points.

The Continentals were 19-for-25 from the foul line compared to Colby's 7-of-11 effort. 
 

With the score tied 17-17, Colby used a 13-7 run to go up 30-24 at halftime. Hamilton had a 17-8 scoring margin in the third quarter.
