WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby College's Haley Driscoll (Bedford, N.H.), who
went over 1,000 career points on Friday, was named the Maine Women's
Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Driscoll averaged 17.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and
shot 52.3 percent from the field in three games. She also became the 18th
player in Colby women's basketball history to reach 1,000 career points.
Driscoll started the week with 18 points on 9-for-14 shooting, six
rebounds, three steals, and two blocked shots in a win over University of
Maine at Farmington. She added 26 points on 12-for-23 shooting, five
rebounds, and four assists against Wesleyan University. Driscoll closed the
week with seven points, six rebounds, and two assists in the season finale
versus Connecticut College.
Driscoll ranks first in the NESCAC in field goal percentage (56.8), fourth
in scoring (13.1), and fifth in blocked shots (1.2). She finished her
career at Colby ranked 18th in all-time scoring with 1,009 points. Driscoll
also had 530 rebounds, 150 assists, 82 steals, and 63 blocked shots.
