Women's squash finishes 20th in the country

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Colby College women’s squash team will have to settle for being ranked 20th in the country after falling 5-4 to Bowdoin College at the Collegiate Squash Association Team Championships on Sunday at Yale University.

The Mules and the Polar Bears were playing the 19th-20th ranked match in the Walker Cup (teams ranked 17 to 24) after both squads lost semifinal matches Saturday.
The Polar Bears went 3-0 against Colby this year and all three matches ended the same way. Bowdoin won positions one to five, while the Mules took positions six to nine.
Elise O’Brien won 3-1 at the sixth position for the Mules and teammate Caroline Pelham had the same victory at the seventh spot. Lily Wain finished with the best record on the team at 16-4 after a 3-0 win at eight and Ren Robinson also swept three sets at nine.
