Women's squash wins first match at national tournament

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The 25th-ranked Colby College women's squash team started National Team Championship play Friday with a 9-0 victory over 32nd-ranked Bucknell University on Friday at Princeton.

The Mules (11-15) are the the top seed in the Epps Cup (Division D) for teams ranked 25th to 32nd. Colby will play a semifinal match Saturday at 2:15 p.m. against 29th-ranked Mount Holyoke.
 

The Mules won all nine matches by 3-0 scores, including an easy win at the first position for Devin Mullaney.  Madiha Molani had the closest set of the day, winning 12-10 before easier 11-4 and 11-5 wins at the second spot.

Julianna Song, Olivia Silverman (pictured), Cricket di Galoma, Caroline Pelham, Lily Wain, Ren Robinson, and Elise O'Brien had the other wins. Wain, the seventh position player, won her 20th match of the season.
