Women's squash earns wins over William Smith, Camels

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Julianna Song won in four sets against William Smith College and had a straight set victory against Connecticut College in Colby College's 2-1 weekend in play at Wesleyan University.
 
The Mules (2-2) took an 8-1 win against William Smith and won 6-3 over Conn College. Colby fell 9-0 to Dickinson in its other match. 
 
Song took an 11-6, 13-11, 10-12, 11-4 victory to help new head coach Chris Abplanalp win his first match with the women's team against William Smith. 
 
Sydney Ku won at the second spot and Lily Wain was a winner at third in the win over the Herons. Olivia Silverman  (fifth spot), Stephanie Keane (seven), D'Arcy Carlson (8), and Kathleen He (9) won in straight sets. Sabrina Teope lost the first set at six and fought back to win the next three sets while allowing just 10 points.
 
Against Conn College, the Mules received a come-from-behind win from Madeline Latimore by set scores of 11-9, 7-11, 9-11, 15-13, 11-4 at the fourth spot. Ku, Wain, and Silverman won 3-0 matches. Colby also had a 3-1 from Keane at the seventh spot.
