Women's swim coasts to victory over Norwich

WATERVILLE, Maine — Katie Discipio won two events and the Colby College women’s swimming and diving team won all but one race in a 121-57 victory over Norwich University on Wednesday.

The Mules improve to 2-2 overall and will swim at Bates College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Discipio won the 200-yard butterfly (2:17.13) and took the 400 individual medley (4:49.66).
The Mules opened the meet with Torrie Edwards, Shauna Yuan, Tyra Daruwalla, and Katie Southworth winning the 400 medley relay in 4:14.30. Southworth also teamed up with Catherine Cimini, Morganne Hodsdon, and Abigail Taylor-Roth to take the 400 freestyle relay in 3:48.0.
The 400 freestyle winners also had individual victories for Colby. Taylor-Roth won the 200 freestyle in 2:03.82, Cimini took the 50 freestyle with a 26.64, Southworth swam to a win in the 100 freestyle (56.27), and Hodsdon captured the 200 backstroke in 2:15.34.
The Mules also received wins from Yuan in the 200 breaststroke (2:30.60), Katherine King in the 500 freestyle (5:30.92), Kitty Elwyn with a 19:07.55 in the 1,650 freestyle, and Alicia Elliott in 1-meter diving (139.20 points).
