Cimini, Discipio lead Mules

BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Catherine Cimini placed 16th in the 100-yard butterfly for the Colby College women's swimming and diving team at the NESCAC Championships on Saturday at Bowdoin College.

Cimini (pictured) had a 57.91 in a preliminary race and then finished in 58.98 in the consolation final (places 9-16).
 

Katie Discipio took 19th in the 400 individual medley in 4:43.81 (4:43.47 prelim) and teammate Madi Keohane finished 24th with a 4:51.01 (4:49.93 prelim).

Colby's 800 freestyle relay team of Abigail Taylor-Roth, Kitty Elwyn, Maria Armillei, and Discipio placed 10th in 7:53.45. Armillei also was 23rd in the 200 freestyle (1:58.92) for the Mules.
 

Colby, which was hurt by a disqualification in the first relay of the night, remains in 10th place with 213 points heading into Sunday's final day of competition.
