Women's tennis stays unbeaten

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Colby College women's tennis team stayed unbeaten with an 8-1 victory over Chapman University on Sunday in the spring opener in California.

The Mules (5-0) have the day off Monday before playing against Occidental on Tuesday at 7 p.m. (EST).

Lydia Venditti split the first two sets at first singles and won 10-7 in a pro-set to take the match. 

Gabriela Venditti, Aleks Piibe, Jamie Pine, and Emily Dyckman (pictured) all won in straight sets for Colby. The Mules won the sixth singles and third doubles matches by default.

The Venditti sisters combined for an 8-4 win at first doubles.
