Women's tennis has five players on ITA academic team

WATERVILLE, Maine -- The Colby College women's tennis team had five of eight players make the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete Team.

Hania Lenderking (Washington, D.C.), Annie Morris (Wilmette, Ill.), Jamie Pine (Providence, R.I.), Gabriela Venditti (Mercer Island, Wash.), and Lydia Venditti (Mercer Island, Wash.) were honored for having at least a 3.50 grade point average for the 2016-17 academic year. 
 

Morris, who graduated in May, made the team for the third straight year. Gabriela Venditti and Pine both were on the team last year.

The women's team also earned the ITA All-Academic Team Award for a combined cumulative grade point average of 3.20.
