Women's tennis opens fall season with two victories

BOSTON, Mass. — Colby College's Lydia Venditti and Gabriela Venditti combined to go 4-0 on the day in a 5-3 victory over Endicott College and a 9-0 romp of Simmons College in the opening two matches of the fall season.

The sophomore twin sisters won in straight sets in singles and took two 8-3 wins at first doubles.
Maddie Lupone also went 2-0 in third singles play for the Mules, who host Thomas College at 10 a.m. Sunday and University of Southern Maine at 2 p.m.
Jamie Pine, Emily Dyckman, and Annie Morris also had singles wins against Simmons. Dyckman won her first collegiate match with a fifth singles victory.
Pine and Morris won a key third doubles match in the win against Endicott.
