Venditti sisters play at ITA

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Lydia Venditti won a consolation round match for Colby College at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Championships on Friday at MIT.
Venditti fell 6-1, 6-4 to Mount Holyoke College's Ayame Yazawa in the opening round. The Colby sophomore took a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Gordon College's Justine Hanson in the consolation match.
Gabriela Venditti lost 6-2, 6-2 to Conner Calabro of Tufts University in the opening round. She then fell 6-1, 6-0 to Chloe Henderson of Williams in her consolation match.
The Venditti sisters also played doubles on a busy day, falling 8-2 to Camille Smukleere and Kelsey Chen of Amherst.
