Men's track and field led by Gibson

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- James Gibson went over 23 feet in the long jump and Brian Sommers placed second in the 400-meter dash for the Colby College men's track and field team at the MIT Last Chance meet on Thursday night.

Gibson won the long jump against one other competitor with a leap of 23-2.5 on his final jump of the night. 
 

Sommers clocked a 48.56 in his runner-up finish in the 400 dash. Landon Summers took third in the 110 hurdles (15.08) and David Chelimo placed fourth in the 1,500 meters (4:54.81).

Colby's 400 relay team of Roy Donnelly, Sommers, Summers, and Houston took third place in 42.00. 
 

Houston took fifth in the 200 dash in 22.28.
