Women's track and field has five individual wins at Wheaton

NORTON, Mass. -- Sophie Stokes Cerkvenik, Taylor Depalo, Margaret Giles, and Whitney White all won individual races for the Colby College women's indoor track and field team at the Wheaton Invitational on Saturday.
 
Stokes Cerkvenik had a time of 8.01 to win the 60-meter dash and placed third in the 60 hurdles (9.16). She also teamed with Giles, Rachel Leonard, and Depalo to win the 1,600 relay in 3:59.60.
 
Depalo (pictured) was a winner in the 200 dash (26.79), Giles took the 800 meters (2:19.41), and White won the 3,000 meters (10:36.61).
 
Second-place finishes went to Cait Lawlor in the mile (5:00.95), Alexa Scher in the pole vault (9-4.25), Emma O'Hara in the pentathlon (2,992 points), and Julia Rembetsy-Brown with a 16-10.75 in the long jump.
 
Rembetsy-Brown also took third place in the triple jump (33-8.5). Sara Friedland was fourth in the 60 dash (8.05), Emma MacCallum also had a fourth in the shot put (36-11), and Hannah Southwick placed fifth in the 3,000 meters (10:54.61).
