WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Colby College baseball team had leads in both games, but Williams College pulled out 7-6 and 2-1 wins over the Mules in non-conference play Saturday.
The Mules had solid starting pitching from Emery Dinsmore and Brooks Parker. Dinsmore worked six innings in the second game, allowed just four hits, one run, and four strikeouts. Parker went seven innings in the opener, allowed three earned runs, struck out five, and walked none.
The Ephs used four hits, one walk, and a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning to score three runs. With the score 6-6 and two outs, Adam Regensburg singled to bring in Jackson Parese.
The Mules took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Tyler Mulberry reached by error and Ryder Arsenault doubled down the right field line to bring in the run.
The Mules went up 4-1 with a single run in the fourth inning. Arsenault walked with one out and came in on Wessman's double to right center.
Colby scored its lone run of the second game in the first inning. Treveloni led off with a triple and scored on Cam Drew's RBI ground out to second base.
Williams tied the game in the second inning and then won the game in the eighth in the seven inning contest. Sean Hager allowed just three hits, struck out 10, and walked none in a complete game for the Ephs.
