WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Tyler Mulberry had two hits and drove in three runs and teammate Matt Mitchell was on base three times for the Colby College baseball team in an 8-5 win over Williams College in the second game of a doubleheader Sunday.
Mulberry (pictured) also scored a run and had a walk, while Mitchell walked twice and scored two runs. Ben Coleman added two hits and one run. Matt Garcia and Ryder Arsenault both scored and had one hit.
The Mules were trailing 4-2 before scoring six runs in the top of the sixth inning. Arsenualt started the rally with a single and advanced to second on a wild pitch with one out. Mitchell walked and Coleman was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Matt Treveloni reached on a fielder's choice and all three runs scored on a throwing error by the shortstop.
Colby had single runs in the third and fourth innings. Mitchell walked with one out, took second on a single by Coleman, and went to third on a fielder's choice. Mitchell then scored on another infield error by the Ephs.
The Ephs' John Lamont threw a two-hit shutout in the first game, striking out two and walking four.
Garcia and Ward had the only hits in the first game for Colby. With two outs and Adam Regensburg on second, Adam Dulsky singled down the left field line to bring in the lone run.
