Men's tennis coasts to win

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Carl Reid had the toughest singles match of the day, but came away with a win at the first position for Colby College in an 8-1 win over Connecticut College in NESCAC men's tennis Saturday.

The 29th-ranked Mules (9-3 overall, 1-2 NESCAC) will play at Hamilton College on Sunday at 2 p.m. 

Reid took a 7-5, 6-3 win over Charlie Williams, while Vlad Murad coasted to a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles. The two teamed up for an 8-3 win at first doubles.

Scott Altmeyer, Shaw Speer, Cam Hillier, and Jonathan Hallal (pictured) also had singles wins for the Mules. Zale Shah and Altmeyer won 8-6 at third doubles.
