Pitching solid for baseball team in setback at Husson

BANGOR, Maine -- Seven Colby College pitchers allowed just six hits, struck out 11, and walked none in a 2-0 loss to Husson University in non-conference baseball Wednesday.

By the numbers
* Frank Driscoll started for Colby and struck out three batters in two innings of work. Patrick Carbone, Cam Garfield, Daniel Schoenfeld, Will Cohen, and Jackson Ward all threw one inning and combined to allow just two hits.
* Andrew Russell had two hits and stole a base, while Tommy McGee also had two hits. Matt Treveloni, William Wessman, and George Schmidt also had hits for Colby.
* Neither team committed an error in the nine-inning game.
* Matt Smith pitched six innings for Husson and did not have a walk or a strikeout.
Game highlights
* The lone runs of the game came in the third inning when Sam Huston doubled down the right field line to score Mike Wong and Nick Guerrette.
