Colby Men's Lacrosse goalie C.J. Layton has been named to the NESCAC All-Conference First Team. He is one of two goalies to be awarded the honor in 2019.
Layton, a senior at Colby, earned Second Team honors in 2018 and 2017. He is Colby's first player named to the First Team since 2013.
Layton finished the season with a 56.3% save percentage, leading the Mules to their first NESCAC playoff berth since 2015. He recorded save percentages over 60% for five consecutive games this season, helping Colby to wins over Bowdoin, Middlebury, Maine Maritime, and Trinity during the stretch. Layton also recorded an assist this season and picked up 21 ground balls. He finishes his career at Colby with a 54.4% save percentage and 485 saves over 37 games.
Layton will graduate this spring with a major in Economics and a minor in Chinese.
