WATERVILLE, Maine – C.J. Layton was named an honorable mention All-American for his play at goalie this year for the Mules in men's lacrosse. He is Colby's first player since 2015 to be named to the team.
Layton finished the season with a 56.3% save percentage, leading the Mules to their first NESCAC playoff berth since 2015. For a five game stretch this season, he recorded save percentages over 60%. Layton finished his career at Colby with a 54.4% save percentage and totaled 485 saves over 37 games.
This year, in addition to All-American recognition, Layton was named to the All-NESCAC First Team, the All New England Second Team, and was asked to play in the North / South All Star Game.
