Win streak ends at three, Mules fall to Tufts

Medford, Mass. - Colby's Men's Soccer team fell 4-0 to undefeated Tufts University Saturday in a NESCAC matchup.  The Mules drop to 4-2 while the Jumbos improve to 6-0.

Tufts entered the week ranked #1 in the NCAA Division III United Soccer Coaches Poll, and it didn't take long for them to show why.  While taking 12 shots in the first half and scoring on two, the Jumbos kept Colby from putting any shots on net.  The trend continued in the second half as Colby struggled to muster any momentum towards the goal.  Tufts ended the contest with a 25-4 advantage in shots and a 7-1 advantage on corners.

Colby goal keeper Stanley Clarke (pictured) made four saves in the first half before giving way to Matt Morin.

The Mules complete their road weekend tomorrow with a 2:30 PM match at Wesleyan University.  Colby beat Wesleyan last season 1-0 on their way to winning the NESCAC Championship.
