Men's swim team earns academic honor for 18th straight year

WATERVILLE, Maine -- The Colby College men placed 26th overall among NCAA Division III schools for the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar Team All-America honor.

The Mules had a team grade point average of 3.39 to be honored for the 18th straight year.

Colby ranks in a tie for fifth place among New England Small College Athletic Conference schools. Williams College (3.56) leads the way and is followed by Connecticut College (3.47), Amherst College (3.46), Wesleyan University (3.40), Colby, Tufts University (3.39), Bowdoin College (3.36), Hamilton College (3.30), Bates College (3.28), Trinity College (3.21), and Middlebury College (no listing).

For the first time in the 95-year history of the organization, more than 700 teams (men and women) were honored. Teams needed at least a 3.0 grade point average to be honored.
