Men's tennis dominates singles in victory over Colby-Sawyer

HANOVER, N.H. -- The 33rd-ranked Colby College men's tennis team won five of six singles matches and took second and third doubles in a 7-2 non-conference win over Colby-Sawyer College at the Boss Tennis Center on Sunday.

Garrett Reiter (pictured) had a nice come-from-behind victory at second singles. He fell 6-3 in the opening set, but rebounded for a 6-2 win in the second set. Reiter went into a tie-breaker in the third set and earned a 7-3 win. Reiter saved two match points in the third set and earned Colby's match-clinching fifth point.
Scott Altmeyer lost only one game in a straight sets win at first singles for Colby (3-1 overall). Jeremy Mendoza, Shaw Speer, and Hans Hwang also won in straight sets and combined to lose just five games.
Altmeyer and Jonathan Hallal were 8-1 winners at second doubles, while Shaw Speer and Reiter teamed up at third doubles for a victory.
