Men's tennis falls in NESCAC match

BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Jeremy Mendoza went to a super tie-breaker at fourth singles and Scott Altmeyer had a tight battle in the first singles spot for the Colby College men's tennis team in a 9-0 setback to second-ranked Bowdoin College on Thursday.

The Mules (8-3 overall) nearly got a point from Mendoza in come-from-behind fashion. He lost 6-3 in the first set, but battled back for a 7-5 win in the second set. Mendoza fell 10-5 in the super tie-breaker.
Altmeyer (pictured) fell 7-6 (7-1), 6-4 to Luke Tercek at the number one position.
