Men's tennis to start spring season ranked 33rd in national poll

WATERVILLE, Maine -- The Colby College men's tennis team will begin the spring season ranked 33rd in the country in the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III poll.

The Mules, under head coach Jason Cohen, open the spring season against Franklin Pierce at home on Saturday, March 10, at noon.
Colby, despite having some tough graduation losses, still has talented returners and four promising first-year players. Senior captains Jeremy Mendoza and Shaw Speer will provide the leadership.
The Mules had a solid fall season, including winning three of four flights at the Gordon/Endicott Tournament. First-year Sumukh Pathi made the round of 16 at the ITA New England Regional tourney.
Colby will play a tough schedule, with eight of the 18 matches against teams in the top 40.
