Bailin, Houston, Gibson lead men's track at UNH meet

DURHAM, N.H. -- Marcques Houston and Sage Bailin each won individual events and helped two relay teams to victories for the Colby College men's outdoor track and field team at the University of New Hampshire Invitational on Saturday.

Houston won the 400 dash (50.44), while Bailin was a winner in the 400 hurdles (55.03). The two also teamed up with Zach O'Connor and Ty Farris to win the 400 relay (42.82). Houston, Bailin, Nick Boutin, and James O'Donnell were winners in the 1,600 relay (3:23.86).
James Gibson was a double winner for the Mules, taking the high jump with a leap of 6-0.75 and winning the long jump (22-11). He had the 22-11 on his sixth and final jump of the day.
O'Donnell finished second behind Bailin in the 400 hurdles with a time of 57.70. Bailin added a third in the 110 hurdles (16.01). Ty Farris (pictured) was fourth in the 100 dash (11.17), Ben Smith took fourth in the 200 dash (22.70), and Josiah Johnson had the same finish in the 3,000 steeplechase (10:40.38).
Colby finished in third place in the five-team meet with 125 points. The Mules finished ahead of Holy Cross (70) and University of Massachusetts at Lowell (19) and behind UNH (211) and University of Maine (168).
