GENEVA, Ohio – Sage Bailin qualified for the finals of the 400 m hurdles at the 2019 Division III outdoor track and field championships, held at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Only eight runners qualify for the final from the three preliminary heats; the top runner from each heat and the runners with the next five best times advance.
Bailin, who entered competition seeded 13th nationally, won his heat in a time of 52.62 and enters the final seeded 3rd. His time in the prelim broke his own school record in the event and is the first ever to be under 53 seconds. The finals are at 2:25 PM EST.
