Men's Cross Country ranked #18 in the nation

WATERVILLE, Maine – After a strong performance at the Connecticut College Invitational, Colby Men's Cross Country has moved into 18th in the Division III national coaches poll. The Mules are the second of five NESCAC teams voted into the national rankings. Williams sits in 2nd, while Bates, Middlebury, and Amherst all lie behind Colby in 24th, 25th, and 32nd, respectively.

At the Connecticut College Invitational, the Mules earned fourth place against a stacked field that included eight nationally ranked teams. Eli Decker, Tyler Morris, Ewan Frick (headline photo), Collins Kibet (photo inset), and Max Lessans scored for Colby at the event. All ran in the top 70 of a 409 athlete field with Decker leading the Mules in 9th place.

Colby also saw their standing rise in the regional coaches poll. The team moved from 9th to 3rd behind just Williams and MIT, and is the second of eight NESCAC teams to be ranked in the top 10 of the New England region.

The Mules look to carry their momentum into their championship season, which starts November 2nd with the NESCAC Championships at Williams College.
