WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby College's Zane Fields (Woodstock Vt.) earned his third straight All-East selection by the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) on Monday.
Fields, an All-American Nordic skier last year, made the first team for the second straight year. The senior was on the second team as a sophomore.
"Zane has had an incredible collegiate career here at Colby," Colby head coach Tracey Cote said. "Every week through his whole career, Zane has competed with the top athletes in all of collegiate skiing. He has had so many firsts for Colby skiing and has elevated our program on the national level."
Fields was the number one ranked skier in the EISA last year. He went on to take sixth place and earn All-American honors in the 20-kilometer freestyle mass start at the NCAA Division I Skiing Championships. Fields won six EISA races last season.
In the 2019 season, Fields had another EISA win and numerous top-10 finishes. He is ranked 10th in the country heading into his fourth NCAA meet.
"To have one of the best skiers in the country developing and competing in your program is a dream come true for any coach," Cote said. "Zane has set the bar extremely high for any skier coming behind him."
