Dorothy O'Donnell, the 2010 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Year, is in her first year as an assistant coach for the Colby softball team in the 2018-19 academic year.
A former assistant coach at Husson in 2012-13, O'Donnell was the varsity softball coach at Ellsworth High School for the past two years. She also was an assistant coach at Ellsworth before becoming head coach.
O'Donnell also was the head coach for the under-14 team at the Sluggers Baseball & Softball Facility in Brewer, Maine.
O'Donnell will be inducted into the Husson Sports Hall of Fame on Friday, Dec. 7. She helped the Eagles to four straight NAC regular season titles and three consecutive NAC championships and berths into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
A two-time All-NAC outfielder, O'Donnell hit .355 (195 hits) with 128 runs, 32 doubles, 14 triples, 11 home runs, 107 RBI, and 54 stolen bases in 167 career games.
