Fritts named NESCAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby College's Sasha Fritts (Darien, Conn.), who had 10 goals in two games last week, was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week on Monday.

Fritts also had seven ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 2-0 week in games in which she played. She scored nearly half the Mules' goals in a 15-3 win over Connecticut College. Trailing 2-1 to the Camels, Fritts had three of the next five goals to help Colby take a 6-2 halftime lead. She also had three goals in Colby's win over Wellesley. 
 
Fritts is tied for the team lead in scoring with 18 goals and one assist for 19 points.
 
The 19th-ranked Mules (4-3 overall) will play against Union College on Tuesday at 11 a.m. on their spring break trip to Florida.
