WATERVILLE, Maine – Three players on the women's lacrosse team have been named to the IWLCA All-Region Team in the Pilgrim Region. First year Sarah Stark, who plays defense for the Mules, was named to the first team. Robyn Pirie and Grace Langmuir, both sophomore attack for Colby, were named to the region's second team. The ultracompetitive region includes Tufts and Middlebury, who are both playing in the semifinals of the NCAA tournament, and Bowdoin College, who qualified along with Colby for an at-large bid in this year's tournament.
Stark anchored the Mules' defense this season, leading the team in both ground balls (38) and caused turnovers (24). Additionally, she secured 21 draw controls.
Pirie led the team in goals and points this season, netting 42 goals and adding 12 assists for 54 points. Pirie ranked 12th in the NESCAC for total points. Langmuir also fueled Colby's offense this season, adding 28 goals and 11 assists for 39 points, the second most on the team.
All three return to keep up the team's positive momentum next year.
