Women's tennis coasts to victory over Willamette, 9-0

CLAREMONT, Calif. -- The Colby College women's tennis team did not allow a set in singles play, including a shutout by Carly Levitz at the first spot, in a 9-0 win over Willamette University on Thursday.

The Mules (3-3 overall) will finish their California trip with a 4 p.m. (EST) match at Chapman on Friday.
While Levitz did not allow a game, Lydia Venditti gave up just one game at second singles and Gabriela Venditti joined Levitz in not allowing a game at the third spot. 
Callie Nesbitt, Katherine Dougherty, and Emilia Callery also had singles wins for the Mules.
The tightest match of the day came at first doubles, where Gabriela Venditti and Nesbitt took an 8-7 win. Lydia Venditti and Levitz won 8-1 at the second spot, while Dougherty and Lindsey Hernandez won 8-1 at three.
