Athanasopoulos fourth in pentathlon at New England D3 meet

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Jenna Athanasopoulos placed fourth and teammate Emma O'Hara was 13th in the pentathlon for Colby College at the New England Division III Indoor Women's Track and Field Championships on Friday at MIT.

Athanasopoulos finished with 3,162 points and was narrowly in second place heading into the final event of the day. O'Hara, a first-year, had 2,644 points.

Athanasopoulos had a time of 9.36 in the 60-meter hurdles, had a leap of 4-11.75 in the high jump, a throw of 32-11 in the shot put, a leap of 15-9.5 in the long jump, and a clocking of 2:34.05 in the 800 meters.

O'Hara finished with a 9.67 in the 60 hurdles, had a 4-8.25 in the high jump, a throw of 29-4.75 in the shot put, a 14-7 in the long jump, and had a time of 2:51.32 in the 800.

Middlebury College's Maddie Pronovost won the competition with 3,408 points.
