CASTINE, Maine – Colby Volleyball brought a three game win streak to Castine, Maine, where the team took the court against the Mariners of Maine Maritime Academy. Although the Mules carried momentum into the contest, the Mariners, who have posted a 20-3 record so far this season, continued their impressive play to win 3-0.
Colby struggled on offense as a team, finishing the game with a -.060 kill percentage, although first year Samantha Schultz (pictured) was able to generate a positive individual percentage, recording five kills and three errors on 21 attempts. Morgan Selby spread the floor with eight assists, while Nicole Petherbridge led the team with eight digs on defense. The Mules did trend positively as the match progressed, recording nine of their 11 kills in the third game.
The Mules' schedule does not let up. Colby next plays Friday, November 1st at 7:00 PM (EST) at Bowdoin before taking on #14 Tufts, as well as Hunter, the following day.
