Jessica Warner, a four-year player at NCAA Division I Canisius College, is a new assistant coach for the Colby College volleyball program.
Warner is working under head coach Candice Parent and alongside fifth-year assistant coach John Leighton.
"We are so lucky to have the opportunity to add Jess to our coaching staff. She was an exceptional player at Canisius but, more importantly, she has a passion for volleyball," Parent said. "I definitely value her perspective and love the energy and frankness that she gives to me and to each of our players."
Warner was an outside hitter for Canisius from 2010 to 2013. She helped the Golden Griffins to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) playoffs in three years. Warner had 343 kills, 368 defensive digs, 109 blocks, and 58 service aces in her career.
A three-time MAAC All-Academic Team member, she was a double major in history and political science. She earned her bachelor's degree in May 2014.
Warner worked at the Buffalo Volleyball Academy as co-head coach for ages 15-16 and assistant coach for ages 14 and 18.
